Fire mage stats priority
Hi all. I started to playing fire pvp and I don't know which gems should I use. Can you guys tell me stats priority for fire mages in 4.2?

Crit, lots of it. Resilience is also very good imo.

Actually with the new season stacking Intellect instead of Crit is also a viable option, due to the Shatter talent which basically sets a softcap for Crit for Fire mages at roughly 20%. Stacking Intellect should put you at 18-19% and ~500 spell damage more than if you went for Crit.
As for resilience priority, it depends heavily on your playstyle. I personally find it most comfortable to have somewhere near 4k; others might prefer to use a good PvE trinket for a price of being a bit more squishy.

BEBEP can u explain then me one thing, cuz im really confused with that. As a fire
i tried many ways to find out which playstyle is the best for me. I tried both playing with near 4k resi, and playing with 3.4k resi and i really didnt find any difference. Incoming damage dealt on me was the same in both situations, but instead I lost some damage while playing with 4k resi.

and yeah as BEBEP said, priority for fire mages is ofc crit around 20-21%, intellect, and as always 220+ penetration and 4% hit raiting and somewhat 3.2k+ resi for comfortable playing.

The difference is small, but it's enough to let you survive at low health in situations you would have died, and it helps relieve the pressure put on you if you have a healer (less damage means less burst heals which means more mana efficiency).
I haven't tried going for int yet because I haven't been playing a lot lately so my gear is still not that good, but thanks for the advice.

For me the difference between 3.5k and 4k is pretty noticeable; in many situations it allows me to pretty much do what I want. Another thing is, fire mage damage output is quite low in general, so that difference between 3.5k and 4k is much smaller than it is for a frost mage, for example.
I'm sticking to 4k resil for almost all comps, and the only comp I've played so far that required maximized damage output from me was double mage (2v2), which I believe you can run even with 2.5k resil, as long as you deal worthy damage.
